PAST CONTINOUS TENSE
Past continuous tense is used to express the situation that was happening at the particular time in the past time such as this example:
• My father was doing his job last night farmer === this sentence mean that my father was doing his job last night but not right now may be right now it has finished
• She was sleeping ==> she was sleeping at that time but not right now.

Formula:
(+) Subject + to be + Verb+ing + Object
Example:
• Jhon was telling a story
• I was reading a novel
• She was watching a movie
• He was talking about me

(-)Subject + to be + not + Verb+ing + Object
Example:
• Toni was not telling a story
• I was not reading a novel
• She was not watching a movie
• He was not talking about me
• They were not swimming in the river
• We were not learning English
• You were not sitting on my sat
(-)To be + Subject + Verb+ing + Object
Example:
• Was Toni telling a story?
• Was I reading a novel?
• Was she watching a movie?
